Renault-Nissan Alliance and Yokohama City to Embark on Yokohama Mobility 'Project Zero' (2009/03/04)

Nissan and the city of Yokohama announced that they will jointly embark on YOKOHAMA Mobility 'Project ZERO', a five-year project aimed at achieving zero-emission mobility. Confirmation of the Project follows a joint study which was completed in November 2008.

Based on the confirmation this time, both parties will review and implement various measures including promotion of wider adoption of eco-driving by utilizing the Nissan Carwings eco-driving service, study of route navigation systems to alleviate traffic congestion, subsidies for EV purchases, reduced rates or exemption for EV parking, and establishment of an electric-charging network. They will also study its positive impact and information provision concerning the above measures.
