Nissan Publishes 2008 Sustainability Report (2008/06/25)

Nissan published its 2008 Sustainability Report on June 25. The fifth-edition of the report offers an update of Nissan's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Guided by the vision of Enriching People's Lives, Nissan believes that making CSR principles, which combine our pursuit of sustainable profitability with our efforts to bring sustainable development to society, part of our management approach is an effective way to make this vision a reality.
Nissan identified CSR's nine key areas of focus such as environment, quality and safety.
By using a CSR scorecard that tracks the progress made on annual CSR objectives, Nissan is on the move on CSR management from a companywide perspective. This scorecard is also included in the report.

The last 2007 report received an Excellent Sustainability Report Award at the 11th Environmental Communication Awards, sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment and the Global Environmental Forum.

The Report is published online only, downloadable from the Nissan CSR website.
