Nissan is the first automobile manufacturer to receive the 2008 Catalyst Award from "Catalyst," an NPO which has been globally engaged in activities with companies and organizations to increase opportunities for women as well as to promote corporate diversity for the last 45 years. CEO Carlos Ghosn attended the Award conference held at the Waldorf=Astoria in New York City on April 9.

The Catalyst Award serves as a call to action to effect positive and lasting change for women and business. Nissan's award-winning initiatives reflect best practices around inclusion and advancement of women to leadership roles and positions of influence, and inspire and encourage others to embrace gender diversity in the global marketplace.
