All-new Nissan Note Popular with Consumers; Nearly 22,000 Orders
in Just Two Weeks After Launch

YOKOHAMA, Japan (Sep. 19, 2012) - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced that Japan dealers have received 21,880 market orders for the all-new Nissan Note compact only two weeks after its launch on September 3.

The all-new Note was won over customers with its bold exterior design and high-quality interior. In addition, the HR12DDR engine grades, which achieve a 20% improvement in fuel economy over the Japanese government's 2015 standards, are exempted from the automobile acquisition tax and automobile weight tax*1, which has helped orders for the new Note get off to a good start.

The newly-developed HR12DDR engine, a direct-injection Miller-cycle engine with a highly-efficient supercharger, delivers both agile driving and top-level fuel economy (25.2km/L in JC08 mode) among vehicles equipped with gasoline engines*2. The HR12DDR engine grades account for 73% of total orders to date.

The highest model grade, MEDALIST, with its spacious cabin that feels the equivalent of a higher segment sedan, provides a premium feel for both the interior and exterior. The way the new Note looks and feels is winning high praise from customers.
