NISSAN DESIGN WAKU-WAKU STUDIO
BRINGS WORLD OF CAR DESIGN TO ELEMENTARY STUDENTS

TOKYO (July 14, 2008) - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced the introduction of "Nissan Design Waku-Waku* Studio", an educational program aimed at 5th and 6th grade elementary school students, starting in Kanagawa Prefecture.

The Nissan Design Waku-Waku Studio is styled around a fun and creative 90-minute lesson, where car designers from Nissan can share their experiences and offer insights into the world of car design. The interactive program will allow students to stretch their imagination and creativity in sketching their own car creations, with feedback from the experienced designers.

Elementary schools interested to participate in the Nissan Design Waku-Waku Studio can submit their applications from July 14.

The program aims to offer students career development guidance as encouraged by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

Nissan Design Waku-Waku Studio is the latest addition to Nissan's corporate citizenship initiatives which includes the ongoing "Nissan Monozukuri Caravan" and environmental lecture programs. Nissan's corporate citizenship activities are founded on three pillars - education, environment and humanitarian efforts.
