The R390 GT1 was an authentic GT car created by Nissan for the sole purpose of winning at Le Mans. In its debut race in 1997, it came in 12th overall (Hoshino, Comas, Kageyama), but in 1998 every car made the top ten in overall rankings: No.32 (Hoshino, A. Suzuki, Kageyama) in 3rd, No.30 (Krumm) in 5th, No.31 (Comas) in 6th, and No.33 (Kurosawa) in 10th position.
