Aiming acceleration of material scrap recycling
In order to improve the quality of material scrap and accelerate of resource recycling, the materials scrap that is produced in the process of manufacturing in Nissan and our supply chain is consolidated in our control scheme.
Details are as follows.
- Company scope; Nissan, its affiliates, and parts suppliers that use materials under centralized procurement are prioritized.
- Target; Materials scrap (mainly steel scrap, as the first step), produced in the process of manufacturing as well as those in disposal of jigs/tools, equipment, buildings, etc.
- Nissan or its subcontractor will decide the purpose and buyer of scrap with the cooperation of recycling entities.
