Activities at Plants

Nissan believes that the followings can be achieved simultaneously;

  • (1) Vehicle manufacturing that responds quickly and flexibly to the diverse demands of our customers,
  • (2) Vehicle manufacturing that imposes a minimal impact on the environment.

At our production plants, we thoroughly implement systems and control standards for substances that have an environmental impact*, and undertake activities to reduce both the amount of these substances used and emitted in our production operations.

  • *Environmental impact: Placing a burden on the natural environment that may cause it to change.

Reducing CO2 Emissions

Nissan is reducing CO2 emissions by introducing energy-saving equipments and raising efficiency at our plants.

Enhancing Transport Efficiency

Nissan is raising the efficiency of distribution by manufacturing vehicles near the market cooperating with suppliers.

Preventing Air Pollution

Nissan is controlling systems and standards to manage air pollutants and undertake activities to reduce the substances used and emitted at the production plants.

Preventing Water Pollution

Nissan is managing not only the water used in the plants but also rainwater drainage to prevent water pollution.

Controlling Chemical Substances

Nissan has introduced an intensive chemical control system and is implementing it globally.

Preventing Soil and Groundwater Pollution

Nissan is conducting environmental impact studies at all the plants.

Effective Use of Resources

Nissan is promoting measures to curb waste at its source in plant operations and activities to recycle resources after thoroughly separating waste.
