Environmental awareness in every aspect of our business activities
Nissan is undertaking activities to reduce CO2 emissions and protect the environment in all our corporate activities, including those of our dealers, where customers and Nissan vehicles come together, and the company offices that support Nissan's business activities.
Dealerships
As our closest point of contact with customers, Nissan dealerships are acting responsibly by adopting environmentally friendly practices in their various activities.
In Japan, dealerships work to protect the environment based on the Nissan Green Shop certification system, Nissan's original environmental management system
What are Nissan Green Shop activities?

Introduced in April 2000, Nissan Green Shop is an original environmental management system that conforms to ISO 14001 standards. Certified dealerships appoint environmental staff and directors who, working within an established system of clear-cut responsibilities, monitor the proper disposal of end-of-life vehicles and waste, manage environmental equipment and facilities, and conduct PR activities to enhance awareness of the benefits of eco-driving.
Starting in 2008 in Japan, Nissan is promoting even more environmentally friendly dealer activities by monitoring CO2 emissions from business activities conducted by dealers based on the Nissan Green Program 2010.*
- * Nissan Green Program 2010: An environmental program that establishes activity plans and specific numerical targets for Nissan to achieve by 2010.
