Service Activities at Dealerships

Recycling activities together with customers

Dealerships are the links between Nissan vehicles and customers. From their position closest to the customer, they work to responsibly carry out recycling activities.

Nissan Green Shop, an original environmental management system

Nissan Green Shop

Nissan introduced the Nissan Green Shop certification system for dealerships in April 2000. This is an environmental management system corresponding to ISO 14001. All dealerships in Japan were certified by March 2002, and inspections continue today as we further improve our efforts. Environmental managers and people with overall environmental responsibility are appointed at certified dealerships, and their duties include proper disposal of end-of-life vehicles and waste, management of environmental facilities, and customer public relations within the established system of responsibility.

Sales of reconditioned parts as Nissan Green Parts

Nissan Green Shop

Nissan uses recyclable parts effectively. Since 1998, we have removed reusable parts from end-of-life vehicles and sold them under the "Nissan Green Parts" name. Inventory management for Nissan Green Parts is conducted at 15 Nissan parts dealerships nationwide, and supplied through 31 Nissan parts dealership locations in seven areas nationwide. When repairs are conducted at vehicle dealerships, customers are given the choice of using Genuine Nissan Parts or Nissan Green Parts.
