Nissan has developed many models of electric vehicles (EVs), and the elemental technologies for EV, such as high voltage electric system and lithium-ion battery, are now applied to the development of Nissan’s fuel cell vehicles. Developing the EV technologies, We plan to develop more EV models in future.

The Hyper Mini released in 2000 is an electric vehicle carring synchronized motor (neodymium magnet type) and lithium-ion battery. This innovative vehicle emits approximately one-fourth of the amount of CO2 that a compact car does, utilizes recycled materials in resin parts, and adopts light weight and easy-to-recycle aluminum spaceframe. |
