Initiated in 1993, this program regularly provides employees with information about volunteer activities and other forms of community involvement. It is designed to assist employees who are interested in volunteer work and want to do something, but lack an opportunity to get started or are uncertain about how to become involved. In addition, employees who have registered their fields of interest in advance also receive information at any time concerning their activity preferences.

This in-house newsletter about community and cultural activities was started in June 1992. Besides being distributed mainly to employees registered with the TRY-ANGLE program, it is also available through NISSAN's intranet. |
NISSAN's support for NPO activities also creates opportunities for the employees to participate in various community and civic endeavors. The company also organizes different types of seminars for interested employees, enabling them to acquire essential knowledge and skills for undertaking volunteer activities.
An art tour is organized for the employees in support of the "art-Link Ueno-Yanaka." |
To enable the employees to experience environmental protection firsthand, NISSAN jointly organizes events with other businesses in Tokyo's Chuo Ward where the company's Headquarters is located. |
NISSAN initiated this program in 1996 to provide financial support for employees' involvement in volunteer activities. In addition to making gifts matching employees' charitable donations, NISSAN also provides funds for supporting volunteer activities or purchasing necessary supplies when money for such expenses is lacking. In this way, NISSAN supports and encourages employees to participate voluntarily in community activities and to make charitable contributions.
Collections are taken up among the employees to raise funds for supporting the victims of natural disasters such as earthquakes, as well as the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States, Afghanistan refugees and others.
