Beauty Bus version of Nissan Civilian Launches in Tohoku in October

On September 27th, NIHON L'ORÉAL unveiled Beauty Bus which will launch operations in October as part of its earthquake reconstruction assistance project, "Biyoshi no Chikara / Hairdressers for Hope / Coiffeurs de l'Espoir". The Beauty Bus (mobile beauty salon) is based on Civilian donated by Nissan which supports this project. Nissan CVP, Simon Sproule cut the tape at the ceremony with executives of NIHON L'ORÉAL and Takara Belmont.

Proposed by NIHON L'ORÉAL, this project took off in early May. With committed "Power" of each one involved in the project, in selecting the vehicle, vehicle conversion by Auto Works Kyoto (www.awk.co.jp/) and conducting negotiations with local governments about the bus operations, the Beauty Bus has finally been unveiled.

"It's remarkable that our excellent vehicle together with great technical strength of Auto Works Kyoto will heal people's minds and create new employment opportunities in the affected area. We are proud that we can provide new possibility that the car has and enrich people's lives" said COO Shiga, the supporter of the Project.

NIHON L'ORÉAL will launch the Beauty Bus operations in October, starting in Kesennuma City, Miyagi, and cut hair of about 15,000 people for a year. It will provide many hairdressers with job opportunities and others with jobs as coordinators of the Bus.
