| What is the Nissan Joyful Storybook and Picture Book Exhibition? |
|
This event has been jointly planned and hosted by Nissan and the National Children's Castle since 1992, and is part of Nissan's support for education-a priority area for CSR activities. The exhibits are themed on the prize winning picture books in the Nissan Children's Storybook and Picture Book Grand Prix, which is another facet of Nissan's CSR activities. One of the unique characteristics of the event is that the exhibits are created from discarded car interior fabric samples and other materials, which were in the past treated as waste. In addition, many Nissan personnel volunteer to be directly involved in the running of the exhibition. Since Last year the exhibition benefited from the additional volunteer services of students and graduates who are registered with the Waseda University Volunteer Center (WAVOC).
