Program Humanitarian

With respect to the affected areas of natural disasters that have occurred in around the world, Nissan has been providing financial aid, products and services. Many employees also have been engaged in relief efforts as volunteers.
In addition to supporting disaster stricken areas, Nissan has been contributing to building sustainable communities in partnership with "Habitat for Humanity", the international nonprofit organization.
Nissan and Habitat are working together in many countries in an effort to "Enriching People's Lives."

Partnership with Habitat for Humanity

To realize the mission of "Enriching People's Lives", Nissan has been working with the international nonprofit organization Habitat for Humanity International since 2006. Habitat is building sustainable communities through housing projects. In 2012, Nissan and Habitat announced the global expansion of their partnership. Nissan employees in each country will join projects as volunteers.

Post-3/11 Support Activities

To support areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, Nissan has been raising funds and donating vehicles. Employees have also been volunteering for a variety of initiatives. Nissan will continue to support activities over the long term.

Mobile Eye Clinic (Nissan South Africa)

Mobile eye clinics provide elementary school students in rural South African villages with optometry care. Eye tests and screenings can be conducted inside the cabin of the Interstar, which can dispense 4,000 pairs of prescription eyeglasses to children in need each year.
