Program Environment

Nissan announced its new six-year environmental plan, Nissan Green Program 2016 (NGP 2016). This new plan will focus on three areas: reduction of carbon footprint, shift to renewable energy and an increase in the diversity of resources used by Nissan. Since 2008 Nissan has been implementing "Nissan Wakuwaku Eco School" in Kanagawa prefecture. We will continue to provide the meaningful lectures in environment for their better understanding and awareness of future through the experiences of our great products.

Nissan Waku-Waku Eco School

Nissan launched this new program in 2008. Toward the environmental philisophy, "Seeking a symbiosis of people, vehicles and nature", we have an aim to get the students and future generation learn and think about the environment.

Karuizawa Arts Festival

Nissan co-sponsors "Karuizawa Arts Festival" from 2007.

Hirayama Ikuo Memorial Volunteer Center, Waseda University (WAVOC)

Based on the memorandum of agreement signed in 2006, Nissan together with Waseda University's Hirayama Ikuo Memorial Volunteer Center (WAVOC) have agreed to promote activities that will have a great impact and contribution to society as a whole. The cooperation has already led to numerous successful corporate citizenship activities and events.

Intensive Program on Sustainability (IPoS)

The Nissan Workshop in IPoS (Intensive Program on Sustainability), brings together young Southeast Asians to help raise their understanding of transportation-related sustainability and environmental issues, thereby fostering future leaders for the region.
