We interviewed a visitor who brought her child to the exhibition.
- How did you come to visit this year's exhibition? |
| Mother: |
This is our second time to the National Children's Castle. Today we came to enjoy ourselves, making use of the spring vacation. This is our first time participating in the workshop. |
- Did you know about the Nissan Joyful Storybook and Picture Book Exhibition? |
| Mother: |
No, I learned about it upon visiting, but it is a fun event. This workshop is particularly interesting. I didn't think my child would become so engrossed. He has been working for one hour now, and it looks like he still wants to keep going. |
| Child: |
I first saw everybody making "things" here, and I decided that I wasn't going home before I made something myself. So, even when I was playing in the other areas, the whole time I was thinking about what I should make. |

|
- What seeds did you plant for that? |
| Child: |
I planted the seeds of sweets, so it will become a candy tree. Look. It has a lot of candy as fruit. |
- Does your child create "things" at home as well? |
| Mother: |
Not very often. I think coming here is something very fresh for him because there are a variety of materials and he doesn't have to worry about getting in trouble for making a mess. All of the other children are very enthusiastic as well. |
| Child: |
When I play at home, I get scolded and told to hurry up. Today I can keep on working, so it's a lot of fun! |
- All of the materials lined up here are recycled materials. |
| Mother: |
That's interesting. We have milk cartons at home, but having this many different materials is enjoyable for me as well.
We can't use space and materials at home this freely, so today is special.
Do you have this event around this time each year? Well, then I would very much like to come again next year.
|
- Thank you very much. |
