The 15th Nissan Joyful Storybook and Picture Book Exhibition was held at the Atrium Gallery of the National Children's Castle from Saturday, March 24 through Thursday, April 5, 2007.
The theme for this year's exhibition was "Ehon de Genki Morimori Matsuri." At the staircase to the main entrance of the National Children's Castle was a large panel exhibit of the pages from "Haru to Kaminari", the Grand Prize winner of the 22nd Nissan Children's Storybook and Picture Book Grand Prix's picture book category. This exhibit allowed visiting children and their parents to enjoy reading aloud as they climbed the steps.
Families from the National Children's Castle Friendship Circle (Tomo no Kai) participated in the making of decorative tapestries for the exhibition, which lend the exhibit a warm, personal, hand-crafted feel. The workshop based on a theme from "Haru to Kaminari" was well participated by families during the spring holidays.
